The WOW (Women on Wanderlust) Club organises its second trip to South America from March 3 to 21, 2013.
The highlights of the trip include navigating the glaciers at El Calafate, the highest of which is in the Los Glaciares National Park – over 130 metres tall and 25 km long. At Lima, you can visit the Archbishop’s Palace and Santo Domingo Convent dating back to the 16 century and the Larco Museum, the world’s largest collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian art.
The tour moves to Cusco where you can visit an ancient Inca palace, the Sacsayhuaman Fortress and the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay.
En route to Pisa you will stop by the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and Machu Picchu – ‘the lost city of the Incas.’ Day 14 will see you at Uyuni and Colchani, to see the Isla Incahuasi, with its volcanic rocks and giant cactus. The trip will end with a visit to Iguazu Falls in Northeast Argentina, consisting of 275 natural falls.
Also planned are a truck ride through the jungle, followed by a trip to the Iguazu River, the rapids of which are navigated in motor boats.
The package, including insurance, costs Rs. 2,53,000 with an early bird offer of Rs. 7,500 off if a payment of Rs. 1 lakh is made before November 15.
