L eslie Lewis says he likes Kailash Kher's sincerity. “I have seen youngsters lose their independent streak once they get success in Bollywood. I am glad to see that this boy who seemed naïve when I first met him didn't sing song after song after initial success in films.” This past week Kailash Kher performed with Leslie Lewis in Gurgaon for Antiquity Club Fusion, the flagship music platform of super-premium label Antiquity. They presented the fusion of Sufi thought with western rhythm. Kailash says first he was apprehensive about how they will gel. “I have grown up listening to Colonial Cousins. As a youngster I attended their concert in Delhi and dreamt that one day I would like to be on the big stage. Audience liked the experiment in Bangalore. It's good that in Delhi now we have restaurants and hotels, which are giving space for such experiments.”
