Tv A vivid account of what happened before Abraham Lincoln was shot

Anew docu-drama, Lincoln’s Last Night , narrates the fascinating story of Abraham Lincoln.

The feature presents a dramatic account of the last hours of Abraham Lincoln’s life, the events that led up to the night of April 14, 1865. Discovery HD World will telecast this docu-drama on February 2.

Lincoln’s Last Night has been shot on high-definition at locations across the United States.

A cast of more than 80 historical actors create an authentic image of Lincoln’s America. The Presidential office in the White House was staged at Centre Hill Mansion in Petersburg, Virginia.

The Ford’s Theatre box reconstruction was one of many locations around Richmond, Virginia used extensively — with additional scenes filmed at Strasburg, Pennsylvania Railroad, and at the original and recently restored summer residence of the Lincoln Family in rural D.C.

In the spring of 1865, President Abraham Lincoln travelled through Washington, D.C., after winning America’s bloody Civil War. Amidst of celebrations, Lincoln is assassinated at Ford’s Theatre by John Wilkes Booth.

The docu-drama is a gripping account of one of the most dramatic nights in American history — of how one gunshot changed the country forever.

Lincoln’s Last Night will be telecast on February 2 at 8 p.m., with repeat telecast on February 10 at 3 p.m. and February 12 at 6 p.m.
