For starters, here is a simple recipe that kindles magic with flour, sugar, eggs, butter and…chocolate!

Serves 4.

Ingredients

All-purpose flour: 3 tbsp

Granulated sugar: three-fourth cup

Eggs: 2

Unsalted butter: half a cup

Semisweet or dark chocolate chips: half

a cup

Oven-proof porcelain or ceramic

ramekins/mugs: four

Directions

Preheat the oven to 200 degree C or 400 degree F.

Grease the ramekins with a tablespoon of butter.

In a bowl kept over a saucepan with simmering water, melt the dark chocolate and butter until smooth. Set aside to cool.

Blend the sugar and eggs with a whisk and add the cooled chocolate mixture.

Pour into greased ramekins and bake for about 20 minutes or until the surface is shiny and cracked and a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out dipped in gooey chocolate.

Enjoy with vanilla ice-cream and a dash of caramel sauce.
