TV Two property kings who’ve hit bankruptcy go gold hunting in Ghana to bounce back

The 2008 US recession hit the world hard and George White and Scott Lomu, two property moguls, suddenly found themselves on the brink of bankruptcy. Discovery Channel’s new reality series Jungle Gold takes you through the journey of White and Lomu, and their effort to win everything back. In their attempt to regain their money the duo travel across the world to Ghana, where miners from all over the world go looking for buried gold.

Ghana is no quiet suburb and warring claims and illegal mining operations is a dangerous game to play when stuck between the Devil and the deep blue sea. Jungle Gold shows the ugly side of the Ghanian Jungle that spills as much blood as it holds gold.

White is a fighter by profession and Scott, the antithesis of White, is cool and calculated, balancing the equation and making them a formidable pair, say the makers. The series will premier on January 7 and will be telecast every night at 10 p.m.
