Hotel Ista served a green menu lunch as part of the World Environment DayFor foodies, who dropped in at Hotel Ista, a big surprise was in store. The hotel served a ‘green menu’ lunch to its guests and employees as part of the World Environment Day.
This is one of the initiatives undertaken by Ista towards bettering the environment among many others.
The speciality of the green menu lunch is that it is prepared with locally produced ingredients. When the guests made themselves comfortable to eat, the eco-friendly food was served to them on plantain leaves. Since the ingredients are locally available, the time and energy consumed in cooking the food in this menu was lesser. The initiative will help and encourage the local farmers.
