Mani Craft will hold `Spiritual Collection - 2007', an exhibition and sale of rudrakshas, spatika lingam, saligramam, conch etc., from March 28 to April 11 at President Hall on Avanashi Road. Yanthras, navaratna malas and lamps will also be on display. Ekmukhi to 21-mukhi (faces) rudrakshas will be available. Saraswathi Bandha Mala, Ganda Mala, pearls and Lakshmi haram will also be available. Regularly exhibited crafts such as brass lamps, coral strands, clay lamps, soap stone and marble idols and wood work too will be exhibited.Rajasthani delighTThe Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management, SNR Sons College, is organising Gourmet Nite 07, featuring Rajasthani cuisine on March 30 at 6.30 p.m. at Sri Ramakrishna Kalyana Mandapam.The event will throw the spotlight on traditional Rajasthani food as also provide students an opportunity to learn to cook in bulk and handle large gatherings. A Rajasthani chef will supervise the work of the students. On offer will be a variety of rotis, pulaos, Maharaja biriyani, subzis, non-vegetarian dishes, snacks and sweets. Some of the signature dishes include daal-baati, bajra roti, makki roti, khasta puri, kher sangri, khevar palli, gatte methi sabji, lal maas, bhuna kukda, Kabuli pulao, bajra khichdi, kachoris, assorted bhajias, malpua, churma, jalebi, ghevar, moongdal halwa and gola ice.Some on-the-spot counters will also form part of the festival. These will serve fresh rotis and some sweets. A single ticket is priced at Rs. 175 while a ticket for a couple costs Rs. 325. A family ticket for three comes at Rs. 500.
