On the eve of World Environment Day, Kriti team, a local non-government organisation in collaboration with The American Center presented a two-day EcoFestival which featured events like workshops for children (12 years and above) and adults on various themes, film screenings and exhibitions.

EcoHaat, ecoReels and an ecoCafé were set up to promote sustainable consumption. All the products exhibited were made from 100 per cent bio-degradable stuff. EcoHaat and ecoArt workshops marked the opening of the festival followed by a contemporary dance performance, ‘Prakriti’ to propagate the cause of environment and the solutions for climate change. The documentary ‘Kosi Katha’ — which tells the story of the people devastated by the 2008 Kosi floods was screened.
