I sabelle Anna from France, disciple of Birju Maharaj, is presenting her Kathak recital this Tuesday. She has given extensive performances both in India and across Europe. Her recitals include both the traditional aspects of the Lucknow gharana and her own innovative compositions based on Kathak. We have another Birju Maharaj composed and choreographed programme, ‘Ritu Samhara' based on Kalidas's composition on the six Ritus. Hindustani recitals include vocal by Saniya Kulkarni and violin recital by Kailash Patra. Meanwhile the Bharat Rang Utsav continues, featuring plays at different locations.
