Food Lovers Gourmet City presents specially-designed menus at affordable prices at 20 of the city’s restaurants

You enter a restaurant and everything seems comfortable, until you are handed the menu. It’s difficult to choose from the many options available while, at the same time, figuring out the price. To make your dining experience special and to ensure the menu is value for your money, Food Lovers Gourmet City, organised by Food Lovers Magazine, is a celebration of special menus at 20 of the city’s top restaurants.

“The diner gets lost when ordering from a large, unwieldy menu. In Food Lovers Gourmet City we have streamlined and presented a special menu. We showcase the restaurant’s signature dishes. The menus are 30 to 40 per cent cheaper than otherwise, priced between Rs. 699 and Rs. 1,299 for a three-course menu,” says Kripal Amanna, publisher and managing editor of Food Lovers Magazine. .

Chef Goutham Balasubramaniam speaks of the Food Lovers Gourmet City menu at Toscano, among the participating restaurants. “We have designed a special menu for Food Lovers Gourmet City, in which we present our signature dishes, including goat cheese salad and Belgian pork ribs.”

Kripal says designing menus emerged out of keeping track of which dish does well. Food Lovers Gourmet City also encourages diner feedback. Food Lovers will also award the participating restaurants, based on jury visit and diner feedback, Bespoke Silver Cover Commendation. If you log onto, you will see details of the menus presented by all the 20 restaurants, with a slideshow of all the signature dishes on offer, along with chef videos and attractive food pictures.

Food Lovers Gourmet City is on till March 31. On March 29, there will be the Food Lovers Chefs for Charity, over lunch, at The Ritz-Carlton. “All 20 restaurants will set up pavilions at The Ritz. The proceeds will go to Sneha Nilaya, an orphanage. For this event, one has to purchase donor passes in advance,” says Kripal. For more details on Chefs For Charity, visit
