Bhima Jewellers' Antique Festival celebrates tradition
Old is gold and proving this adage true is Bhima Jewellers with its Antique Festival. A festival that celebrates the designs in gold of yesteryear, the fete has exquisitely crafted temple jewellery, kundan jewellery, Mughal designs, Peshawar designs and more. The collection has been sourced from all corners of the country.
Says Suhas Rao, managing partner of Bhima: “Antique jewellery never goes out of style, so you can pass them down from generation to generation. Women love them as it goes with any Indian outfit.”
According to Suhas, no two pieces are the same as each item is hand crafted by the artisans with care. “There is fine detailing in each work by the artisans. Antique jewellery is also heavier when compared to other designs in gold.” To ensure an old world look is retained, the pieces are either black or copper polished and come with a 24-carat finish (matte finish).
While some items are done in gold only, some come studded with precious and semi-precious stones.
The collection includes necklaces, jhumkas, rings and bracelets in a range of prices. Special schemes and offers have been introduced as part of the fete. To lend the fete that concludes on March 6 an old-world charm, the shop has been done up to resemble a palace of yore so that you step in and out feeling like royalty.
