In order to meet the demands of travellers from India and Bangladesh, Air India yesterday launched a direct flight between Delhi and Dhaka. Air India will operate the Airbus 320 on the Delhi-Dhaka sector. “The flight AI 0231 left Delhi at 0545 hours and reached Dhaka at 0845 hours,” said an Air India spokesperson. The airline has promised a convenient flight schedule for direct onward connections from Delhi to London, Paris and Frankfurt besides direct flights to the US and the Persian Gulf, he added. The inaugural Delhi-Dhaka flight coincided with the launch of the India Show, a conference organised by trade and industrial bodies in Bangladesh to strengthen commercial relations between the two countries.
