For some, fitness is not a one time goal, it is a way of life. Well-known stand-up comedian Vir Das sees himself in this category. He says if it had not been for his profession, he would not have bothered much about fitness. “I would rather go for a family pack than for a six or eight pack,” he laughs.

Vir who is busy finding newer talents in himself having taken to acting and singing, says, “my profession demands that I eat well and exercise.” So what is his fitness mantra? “Eat every two hours. It will be helpful.” Often required to follow a tight schedule, does he find time to exercise regularly? “I have videos on my i-pad, it helps me workout during my breaks when I am busy shooting.” But Vir prefers his gym routine.

After Delhi Belly, Vir has quite a few films releasing this year. Did he have to lose or put on weight for any of the characters he is playing? “Yes, I lost 12 kilos for a film but I never cut down on my nutrition. I work out happily the way I want.”

This graduate from Knox College, Illinois, says he is exploring various means of entertainment. He will soon be seen in Ajay Bhuyan’s rom-com Amit Sahni Ki List in which is cast with Vega Tamotia of Chittagong fame.
