“M y character in ‘Love U Mr. Kalakaar' is very similar to my personality in real life. I had no issues getting into the skin of the character,” says Amrita Rao, who was in the city with co-star Tusshar Kapoor for a charity photo exhibition conducted by Dr. Batra. The chirpy actress contends, “The movie is a realistic love story. It is set in contemporary India and will touch a chord with youngsters.”

Amrita agrees with Tusshar that Bollywood must maintain the correct balance. “If you take out the masala and melodrama element from Bollywood, it would be qqite tragic and counter productive. It is necessary that filmmakers achieve a correct balance and are able to offer sensible cinema with a fair amount of drama.”

She was impressed with her co-star Tusshar Kapoor. “He has evolved as an actor and is great fun to work with. He puts in a lot of effort and makes you feel very comfortable.”
