Rupali Khandare wins the covered Miss Delhi titleThe best of Bollywood came down to Delhi to judge the most beautiful Delhi girl. The occasion? The final of the Miss Delhi beauty contest at Taj Palace Hotel earlier this week. The contest, that had 10 finalists for the title, had a panel of judges from the film world. These were Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover, Prem Chopra, Puneet Issar and Rati Agnihotri. Sajid Khan hosted the show in his inimitable witty style. The jury members asked them oft-repeated questions that hardly take much intelligence to answer. But it seemed as if for the contestants on the stage, the saying `the simplest thing is the most difficult thing in the world' fit too well. Just sample this: Manisha Koirala asked a contestant, "What are your dreams?" The answer was, "to make my parents proud!" Puneet Issar asked, "What do you prefer - beauty or brain?" The answer came was, beauty is for outside and brain for inside. This contestant aspired to become like Bill Gates. Rati Agnihotri asked about "woman power", and Prem Chopra asked a little different question about what they think of child adoption. The answer was `to donate all my life for the adopted child!' A query on how a contestant would make Delhi better, the answer was "stop deforestation". One of the contestants, when was asked about the advantages and disadvantages of being a woman, she amused the audiences saying that `there are only disadvantages and no advantages' and then she began with `advantages' of being a woman! Quite naturally, she wasn't the winner! After several rounds judges crowned Rupali Khandare as Miss Delhi. The winning question was "If the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, what is the way to a woman's heart?" Her answer was "Trust and only trust". Herleem Kochar was the first and Kareena Ahuja, was second runner up. Rupali, who also bagged the title of Miss Beautiful Hair, is a software engineer.
