Event Kids were bowled over by a reading session and drawing contest on cricket

W hile New Zealand and Zimbabwe battled it out for a place in the semi-finals of the ongoing World cup on March 4, cricket was in the air at Sarwaa lifestyle store at Sasthamagalam too.

An excited bunch of children gathered at the store for a book reading session. They smiled, giggled and laughed as author Khyrunnisa A. read excerpts from her cricket-based novel Howzzat Butterfingers!

In the interactive session that followed, they asked questions about incidents in the book and were curious about some of the characters.

The reading session was followed by a painting competition. The theme was Cricket World Cup and the children settled comfortably on the floor with cardboard sheets, paper and crayons and they expressed in colour and line their take on cricket and the contest.

The painting competition was judged by artist Radhika Devaraj.
