EVENT TalentEase hosts a seminar for heads of schools

TalentEase organises a conference for heads of schools on “Is today’s education getting our children future ready?” India’s poor showing in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) with India ranking second last among the 74 countries that participated, the poor results from the ‘Quality Education Study’ by Wipro & Educational Initiatives in 2011 and the constant refrain from the industry on the ‘educated but unemployable’ underlines the fact that academic education is necessary but not sufficient. Rather than wait for policy to change, TalentEase hopes to drive a ‘bottom-up’ movement to make a difference in the way today’s children are educated. The conference aims to trigger a movement for change with school heads taking up the challenge to make a paradigm shift in the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of educating children.

The event will be held on November 21 at Vivanta by Taj Connemara. The half-day conference will close with lunch. There is no fee but prior registration is a must.

Participating speakers include Paul Sellers, director South India, British Council and Gayatri Sriram, managing director, UCAL Group. The conference will also include an innovative session by Bharathy Bhaskar (Senior Vice-President, Citibank) and S. Raja of pattimanram fame.
