Sarba Shanti Ayog (Sasha) is conducting a crafts and textiles exhibition at Gallery No. 1V, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat from February 8 to 14. On display at the exhibition are a variety of handicrafts from producers such as kantha work from Artisan Association, embossed leather, decorative hangings, Madur grass and jute items and cane and bamboo products from Crafts Services and studio pottery from Ochre. Also exhibited are musical instruments from Antare Jantar Sanstha, scarves, stoles and saris from Amitav Basak, dhokra artefacts from Karu Udyan, iron crafts and musical sticks from Sathi, jewellery, tribal textiles and paintings from Anwesha, beaded stone and metal accessories for women by Mayabazar and painted wooden and papier-mâché from Parampara. The exhibition aims to capture Sasha's ideology of contemporary living through the use of traditional skills and techniques.
