Event Participate in a pan-Indian birding event

Here is your chance to do your bit for conservation. The Great Backyard Bird count, an international birding event organised by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society, an American environmental organisation, comes to India.

The Great Bird Count India is open to bird lovers across the country from February 15 to 18. To participate, all you have to do is bird watch from your locality — you can do so from your balcony, rooftop, garden, a park in the neighbourhood… and record the number of birds you spotted, the species, and location at www.ebird.org.

Interested birders can join the event’s Google group http://groups.google.com/group/birdcountindia and share your experiences with fellow birders.
