I turn to my dad (producer Suresh Babu) for professional help. My personal life… I sought it out myself. Since dad, uncle (actor Venkatesh) and grandfather (D. Ramanaidu) are all into films, cinema was part of my growing up. There was no effort on their side to wean away the children from films or force them to get into films. It was a neutral set up. Our family has produced around 125 films and follows a few fundamental rules of film-making. There have been no bad films that have come out of our stable. I grew up watching international films as much as regional films. Indiana Jones and Star Wars series are those I could relate to. Among regional films, it’s tough to choose… I’ve loved some of the classics and my uncle’s films like Gokaraju and Chanti.Acting debut
The film might be launched later this year.
The script is being worked upon. Apart from the standard training for diction and dance, I trained with Barry John for theatre in Mumbai and learnt stunts in Seattle. I am still practicing them. I want to be ready and fit before the project is launched or I won’t start.
