T he Cheating technique is an advanced training principle, where a trainee gets help from other muscles and performs a few extra repetitions for the target muscle with a heavier weight. Assume that a trainee performs barbell curl exercise with a heavy weight for six repetitions in perfect form. When he is unable to perform any more strict reps, he can use his shoulders or back slightly to help him complete another two or three reps. However, reckless swinging of weights should be avoided to prevent injury. Use this technique to make a workout tougher and not easier.
