Carol realises that he has been a bit late in choosing Western classical. “There’s so much to study. The 1 or 3 movements of a Romantic Concerto, a couple of Bach pieces, a Mozart concerto, are basics that one needs to learn. The Conservatory system does not exist where all this is taught. One needs to do it on your own.”
His dream has been to play along with a huge orchestra in his home town. And to revive Orfeo, the quintet he formed with friends Robin Thomas, Cheenu, Joby and Chandlu. “We need a proper concert hall, sponsors for an orchestra. The talent is certainly there. Orfeo was a group that could play any style of music. The group broke when all of us moved away. I hope we could revive Orfeo,” says Carol.
