Chat Super model Charolette Claire on her foray into films

Charolette Claire’s victory in the Gladrags supermodel hunt has catapulted her to fame. “It was a great feeling, when I bagged the title. I was very confident about my chances and was thrilled to emerge victorious. The pageant and the preparation for it had kept me occupied. The win was worth the trouble.”

As is the case with many beauty queens and supermodels, Claire is making her debut in a Bollywood movie, Jai Hind 2 soon.

“I have always wanted to become an actor. I am a big fan of Salman Khan and want to work with him in a movie. All these movie roles and reality show offers, post my bagging the Gladrags title, seems like a dream come true.”

Was acting any different from walking the ramp?

“Acting is a different ballgame. It is important to bring out your true emotions and ensure that the audience associates with the character you are playing on the screen. I am currently engaged in learning and rehearsing my lines and doing improvisations. Jai Hind 2 is a film that will be released in three languages simultaneously. I am working on improving my diction in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Though I am not playing the female lead, my character is fairly important. The movie talks about the issues plaguing the education system in India, a subject that is very close to my heart. I am very excited at working on this project.”

Apart from this movie, Claire is also involved in ad shoots and reality show projects.

She contends, “I am in preliminary discussions with some directors over movies. I cannot talk about the projects at this stage.”
