I believe 70 per cent of your stress regarding fitness is relieved if you eat right, sleep on time and drink lots of water. After six o'clock, or sunset, one should avoid carbohydrates, sugar and refined flour ( maida). White sugar and refined flour are two unwholesome things made by mankind.

I consider a person should exercise regularly even if it is a half-hour walk. Personally, I am usually very busy shooting.

Currently all my time goes into shooting for Beend Banoonga Ghodhi Chadhunga. Even then I try to remain active. Like nowadays, I walk around the set and eat the right food, trimming down the amount of carbohydrates in my diet.

To be with my family and dog lightens me up, which also helps me stay fit, as happiness is also very necessary. However, my favourite workout is going for a run and doing yoga. Fitness is important in all senses. If a person is not fit or in great shape, he or she cannot carry off a good outfit either.

I have seen many actors gaining or losing weight for a particular role — with which I firmly disagree. They don't realise that they are playing with their body, which is very bad for the health.

I have seen people who don't work out. Working out is very necessary as it helps you and your bones to be in shape especially in your old age. Hence the secret to health is to remain active and eat right.
