LAUNCH A hit Japanese baseball anime will soon be on our small screens with a slightly reworked story
After gaining much popularity in Japan the baseball animation show Kyojin no Hoshi (Star of the Giants) is here, albeit with a twist. For the cricket crazy nation like ours, baseball has been replaced with cricket and is called Suraj -The Rising Star . The legendary animated series from Japan portrays the life of a 16-year-old boy, Suraj, who is setting out on his journey to be trained as a young cricketer and faces hardships and challenges. Adapted for the Indian audiences, Suraj - The Rising Star , craftily integrates Indian culture and Japanese animation highlighting common characteristics such as importance of family ties, friends and a ‘never say die’ attitude.
The show will air on Colors every Sunday at 10 a.m. starting December 23.
