Sujeet Desai performs at a charity show

Aikya, a school for children with special needs, presents Cadenza, a musical evening, featuring Sujeet Desai, born with Downs Syndrome.

The 28-year-old, who will play the saxophone, clarinet and the violin at the concert, can also play the piano and the drums.

He graduated from high school with honours from the Berkshire Hills Music Academy.

Sujeet also has a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and has bagged gold and silver medals in swimming, Alpine skiing, cross-country running, and bowling in Special Olympics.

The event aims at creating awareness about the abilities of those with Downs Syndrome, apart from raising funds to support the programmes of the Aikya.

The concert will be held on January 1 from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 2, 13th Avenue, Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Harrington Road, Chetpet.
