Attend the annual music programme of Shri Rama Kala Vedike to be held on December 8 at 5.30 p.m. and December 9, 9.30 a.m. at the Krishna Devaraya Kalaa Mandira, behind Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore.

The event will open with a tabla jugalbandi by Hemant Joshi and Roopak Vaidya followed by felicitations and the Kalashringa award ceremony.

This year the award will be conferred on violin maestro M. S. Gopalakrishnan. Among the facilitations, music teacher N.V. Gopinath, instrument maker Ashwathamma Anantharamiah, music critique S.N. Chandrasekhar, connoisseur D.R. Badrinath and Baburao Hangal will also be recognised for their contribution to music. This will be followed by a jugalbandi by Praveen Godkhindi and Shripad Hegde.

On December 9 there will be a jugalbandi by Sangeeta Katti Kulkarni and Vani Satish followed by a tabla solo by Ramdas Palsule.
