In order to beat the heat, it’s better to take lots of liquid foods like juices, tender coconut and water to avoid dehydration, as it is the main cause of all heat related diseases. Avoid hot, spicy and non-vegetarian foods which are hard to digest in summer. Also wearing loose-fitting cotton dresses rather than synthetic materials will reduce body heat. If possible stay indoors during the midday when the temperature is high.
