Twice a week, heat pure coconut oil and apply it on your hair. Then immerse a towel in hot water, squeeze out the water and wrap the hot towel around your head, like a turban. Keep it on for 5 minutes. Repeat the hot towel wrap 3 or 4 times. This helps the hair and scalp absorb the oil better. Use a mild herbal shampoo. Use less shampoo and rinse it off well with water. After a shampoo wash, apply a creamy conditioner, taking just a little of it and massaging it lightly into the hair.
Leave it on for two minutes before rinsing it off. You can also apply a leave-in conditioner or hair serum. Apply it the same way, but do not rinse it off. For extremely dry, rough and brittle hair, mix well together one egg, two tablespoons of castor oil, the juice of a lemon and one teaspoon of pure glycerine. Apply it on your hair once a week and wash it after 30 minutes.

For mole removal, consult a dermatologist. Some moles need to be treated with caution. After cleansing, apply astringent lotion with cotton wool. Mix multani mitti with rose water into a paste and apply it daily on your face. Wash it off after it dries. Twice a week, use a facial scrub. Mix rice powder with a little curd and a pinch of turmeric. Apply it on your face, rubbing it gently on the skin with small circular movements, especially on the tiny pits on the skin. Wash it off with water.

The skin on the lips is very thin and delicate. However, after washing your face, when the lips are wet, rub them gently with a soft towel. This helps remove dead skin. Then apply cream of milk and leave it on for an hour. Add a few drops of lemon juice to the cream of milk before application. Apply pure almond oil daily on the lips at night and leave on overnight. You can also look for a lip balm with sunscreen, or apply very little sunscreen lotion, 20 minutes before going out in the sun. For the neck, massage the skin daily with til oil. Mix gram flour (besan), curd, lemon juice and a little turmeric into a paste and apply it at least three times a week. Wash it off after half an hour.

Blackheads occur on oily skin or oily areas of the skin.
After washing your face in the morning, wipe the blackhead-prone areas with an astringent lotion, using cotton wool. In the morning, after washing your face, make a paste of baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) and water.Apply it on the areas with blackheads daily and wash it off after 5 minutes. Use a facial scrub three times a week on the blackhead-prone areas. Rub it gently on the skin using small circular movements. Leave it on for 5 minutes and then wash it off. You can also go to a beauty salon for a clean-up and have them extracted.
My feet look dull and aged. How can I make them shiny and soft? — Balu
Massage your feet daily with til oil before a bath. Use a mild glycerine soap. Immediately after a bath, massage your feet with cream while the skin is still damp.
This helps seal in moisture. Twice a week, use a scrub. Mix together ground almonds, ripe papaya pulp and yogurt into a paste. Apply it on the feet and allow the mixture to remain for 15 minutes. Then rub it gently on the feet and wash it off with water. This makes the skin soft and smooth. Twice a week, mix together curd, oats, aloe vera gel and pure almond oil. Apply it on the feet and them with a clean cloth. Lie down and relax for 30 minutes, before washing it off.

Stretch marks usually fade with time, but never do so altogether, because they form due to destruction of skin elasticity. Apply olive oil daily on these areas and massage it into the skin.
