I am using henna once a month to colour and condition it. Soak a handful of dry amla in about two to three cups of water overnight. Next morning, strain the water, but do not throw the water away. Grind the amla. To the henna powder, add the ground amla, four teaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, two raw eggs, two teaspoons of coconut or til oil and enough amla water so that the henna can be mixed into a thick paste. Keep it for two hours and then apply it on the hair. Keep it on for two hours and wash it off with water. You can have the henna treatment twice a month. Give your hair hot oil treatments once or twice a week. Apply a conditioner after a shampoo. Applying curd or egg half an hour before shampooing helps add body to the hair.
