It’s official! Ajith’s David Billa will release on July 13, exactly a year after work on it began. Producer Sunir Khetarpal says: “The film will release in around 400 screens in Tamil Nadu, while it will release in over 250 screens in Andhra Pradesh. In Kerala and Karnataka, it will release in 50 screens each and in 200 screens overseas taking the overall tally to 1,200.” Sources say the film, a prequel to Billa , is two hours and 10 minutes long.

Also, the film features a sixth song. Says Khetarpal: “The music album has five songs and and a theme number. A belly dance sequence shot in Georgia will be part of the sixth song that will feature only in the film.” If things go as planned, David Billa will also add another feather to its cap — it will become the first Tamil film to release in over 10 screens in France.
