Tune in to Sreesanth's World Cup album `Desh'

Sreesanth's diaries are not just dry records of a day gone by. He fills the pages with inspiring quotes and sometimes with verses of his own poetry. There might have been some private moments when Sree had even tried putting some of those lines into his own tunes. Now, on the eve of the World Cup, an event that will be special for every Malayali, Sree is set to rock his fans with a song.A music album titled Desh that will include two World Cup and eight patriotic songs, will have the opening track penned by Sreesanth. The song that begins Har Raat, Har Subhah, Dekha Hai Khwab Yeh, Saara Hindustan, Saara Hindustan, Jago India is Sreesanth's anthem for Team India. "The song Jago India showcases the Indian spirit and emotions. The songs basically attempt to convey that `the nation is with you in loss or failure, let the aim be massive, the whole nation will be with you in every step that takes you closer to that target.' The whole song is designed in a way that everyone will enjoy it," says brother Dipusanth, whose Sanjna Musics and Movies has produced the album. This album will also be singer Madhu Balakrishnan's first ever album in Hindi. "I have sung a couple of songs and bhajans in Hindi but this is my first independent album in the language. I have sung the song written by Sreesanth and will be completing the rest by next week. The final mixing will be done in Chennai and the audio album will probably be released all over India during the first phase of the World Cup," informs Madhu. The video album of Desh is also planned. "We have completed shooting a part of the first song. The video will have Sree and Madhu, and a couple of models. The part in which Sree appears has already been shot. We now have to do the sequence in which Madhu and the others appear. The video of this song is scheduled to be released before India plays its first match against Bangladesh on March 17," mentions Dipusanth.Deepak Warrier, who has also written the lyrics for four songs, composes the music and Sreekanth directs the video album. "Deepak is an up and coming musical talent. This computer science student composed the music for our first album Unni Ganapathy, which was well received. Sreekanth is a popular ad-film maker and an associate of Priyadarshan. Apart from Sree, who has written the opening song and Deepak, we have another lyricist who has been associated with Hindi albums, Rajesh Johari in this album," says Dipusanth. So, when a whole nation wakes up early every morning to follow the fortunes of the Indian cricket team, there will be Sreesanth's inspirational verses ringing in the right mood. Lend your ears to this cricket anthem.
