Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra's Festival of ballets begins this Friday

Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra is perhaps the most popular producer of classical-based dance productions in the Capital.

Its annual Festival of Ballets begins this Friday with the poignant story from the Mahabharat, “Karna”, while “Meera” features on Saturday and Sunday. Then, next May 13, watch out for “Abhimanyu”, another tale from Mahabharat, and finally, on May 14 and 15, the festival comes to a close with shows of “Parikrama — the supreme light of consciousness”.

All the productions are produced and directed by Shobha Deepak Singh and choreographed by Shashidharan Nair (“Karna” was choreographed by him along with his guru, the late Krishna Chandra Naik).
