As part of its Lights On series, Sathyam Cinemas will present audiographers Arun Kumar Bose and H. Sridhar, in conversation with K. Hariharan, film maker and director, L. V. Prasad Academy, on May 24, 7.15 p.m. Arun Kumar Bose has been working for Prasad Film Laboratories for the past 25 years as Chief Recording Engineer. He has to his credit many State and international awards. He has been accredited as the first person to mix the Dolby Hindi movies in India and has worked on the first South Indian 70 mm film "Padoyattam" and the first Hindi 70 mm film "Badle Ki Aag". H. Sridhar is the Chief Audio Engineer in Media Artists, the audio studio division. He pioneered the use of digital sound for Indian films in the DTS format. He has engineered over 200 films, all songs and background scores for A. R. Rahman and albums for artistes such as George Harrison, Pandit Ravi Shankar and Zakir Hussain. He has worked with directors including Mani Ratnam, K. Balachandar and Bharatiraaja. The programme will take place at Studio 5, Sathyam Cinemas. For details, call 43920200.
