Travel Trek through the hills and mountain peaks of Uttarakhand

International Academy of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (IAMAS) will be taking a team for the Himalayan Adventure Trek (May 10 to 25) to Surya Top in Uttarakhand. The trek is being organised by the New Delhi-based Adventure Activity Promoter. 

Uttarakhand that abounds in temples and is surrounded by majestic mountains is the best destination for adventure buffs to explore the Himalayas.

The trekkers will have an orientation session on the trek route and mountaineering techniques. The participants will trek through places such as Goithatch and Kayarkoti before reaching SuryaTop. They can get a view of peaks such as Bandar Poonch, Draupadi ka danda, Jaonli and Gangotri.

The programme includes commando net, cat crawling, Australian trolley, plank crossing, rock climbing and rafting in Alaknanda river to give trekkers a complete adventure experience.

The trekkers will also be taken to the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun.

The programme will be led by Anil Kumar A., former chairman and director, IAMAS. He will be assisted by D.S.D Solanki, an ace adventure enthusiast from Mysore.

The expedition is open to those aged above 10 and below 66. Last date to register is February 8. For details call, 098451 16835.
