Aadhi's gesture

Looks like actor Aadhi is ever willing to extend a helping hand to those in need. First, on Wednesday, he took time off his schedule to launch, along with music director Raihanah, the theme song for Raindropss's ‘Educate a child' project.

The peppy song is aimed at creating awareness among the masses about the importance of providing education to children, especially those from the economically backward sections.

The music for the song has been composed by Girinand and its lyrics have been penned by Niranjan Bharathi, the great great grandson of the legendary Subramania Bharati. Eleven singers, including Srinivas, Priya Hemesh and V. V. Prasanna, have sung the song, which is being brought out by Raindropss, a youth team from Chennai that delivers social awareness messages to the public in the form of short films and theme songs.

Next, Aadhi is to fly to Singapore on May 27 to judge a dance competition and be part of a show being organised to inaugurate a dance school for the physically challenged.

Says a source, “Aadhi was moved when he got to know that this was for a school for the physically challenged. He intends to donate his fee for the show to the school.” Way to go, Aadhi!
