WOW (Women on Wanderlust) is organising a trip to Morocco. “It is an exotic blend of traditional Arabic culture fused with African influence and sprinkled with generous amounts of European blend,” say the organisers.
The nine-day tour begins on October 17 at the Mohammed V International Airport. After dinner the excitement begins with visits to Casablanca, then Rabat, Morocco’s capital. The city tour will include Mechouar, the Royal Palace, Oudaya Kasbah, the Mohammed V mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. You will also get to explore the Moroccan countryside. A drive through New Fes, planned by the French in old colonial style, is also on the list. Then off to one of the most ancient of Imperial cities founded in the 8th Century by Moulay Idridd II. The medina of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the biggest attractions in Fes.
Talaa Kebira and Talaa Seghir, Nejjarine fountain and the Karaouine mosque are also on the travel list. Travellers can also look forward to Palais Dlanedina with a traditional dance show.
