TRAVEL Eco Trek organises a tour of The Himalayas
Eco Trek offers customised group tours of the holy Himalayas. The tour will cover the traditional pilgrim route of Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash that includes visits to several temples and places of religious significance.
Visits to the winter home of Lord Shiva, Budhanilkantha (Vishnu temple), Swayambhunath, Boudhanath (Buddhist stupa) and Muktinath (place of salvation), and a darshan of Manakamana precede the Kailash tour. Kailash-Manasarovar Yatra is the toughest and most difficult yatra because of the altitude. The Kailash Yatra is restricted to the period between mid May to mid September. Even during summer, the weather becomes unpredictable and temperature varies drastically between day and night.
Hot water and proper toilet facilities may not be available at every stop but in selected towns accommodations with restaurants and modern facilities are available.
It is essential to have established a walking/ jogging / yoga routine for two to three months before the yatra. A normal health certificate from a doctor is also recommended.
