EVENT New performance space in the city gets inaugurated with a theatre festival

Sunaami, Suchitra Naani Angalada Mitraru organise a four-day theatre festival coinciding with the inauguration of the new performance space, Bhanu-Nenapina Naani Angala, on the premises of Suchitra Film Society, Banashankari II Stage.

The festival that opened on March 13 with Bandvaalavillada Badayi by Rangapadma, continues with Shraddha mattu Staineless Steel Patregalu by Vati Kuteera on March 14. Kriyative Theatre presents Ratnan Parpancha on March 15, and Natana presents Oorubhanga on March 16. All plays begin at 7 p.m.

During the festival, theatre actors Dhananjaya, Geeta Suratkal, M.S. Vidya and Sundar will be felicitated.


Suchitra Film Society will launch the 19th European Union Film Festival - 2014 with Tune in to the Voices of Youth. The event will take place on March 14 at The Suchitra Film Society in Banashankari from 7 p.m. Kannada filmmaker Sumana Kittur will inaugurate the festival along with Joern Rohde, the Counsul General of Germany for Karnataka and Kerala.

The inaugural film will be Lessons of a Dream by Sebastian Grobler. The festival is on till March 22. Call 26711785.
