Riad Mahmood Education and Arts Foundation presents Abhishek Majumdar’s award-winning production Gasha , the third part of the Kashmir trilogy this weekend.

Gasha has been performed at Bareilly National Theatre Festival, Vinod Doshi Memorial Theatre Festival, Pune, Prithvi Theatre Mumbai and won awards at the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards.

“Where is the Kashmiri Pandit today? What is the state of Kashmiri youth now?” These are some of the issues that have been explored in Gasha . An Indian Ensemble production, Gasha developed from collaboration among playwright Irawati Karnik, director Abhishek Majumdar, sociologist Subhashim Goswami and actors Sandeep Shikhar and Adhir Bhat.

Gasha will be performed in Hindi, Urdu and Kashmiri, and revolves around the lives of two boys, one Kashmiri Muslim and the other a Kashmiri Pandit. Set against the Kashmir imbroglio, Gasha is a moving story of friendship.

Performed by Sandeep Shikhar and Adhir Bhat, Gasha will be staged at Ranga Shankara today at 7.30 pm and on April 28 at 3.30 pm and 7.30 pm. Tickets are available at and www.bookmyshow.
