Have a blast this Deepavali with a concert by the man who redefines the nasal twang, the one and only Himesh Reshammiya

Though Himesh Reshammiya has been composing music forever - his first credited score was for Bandhan (1998) in collaboration with Anand Raj Anand - it was with the title song of Aashiq Banaya Apne (2005) that he burst on the public conscience with stubble, baseball cap, big, fat belt buckle, scruffy jeans and who can forget the beyond nasal twang with which he sang?So there you have it, a singer-composer with loads of attitude, who caught public fancy like nothing else. His constant presence on TV like The Great Indian Comedy Show and that crazy, crazy parody of Dhoom, Ghoom, underscores the fact that he has arrived big time. His work in the Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya brought him phenomenal success and in contact with Bollywood's greatly misunderstood angel of sweetness and light, Salman Khan. The 31-year-old has scored music for many of Salman's movies including Tere Naam.Himesh has over the years developed a distinctive style where melody, pop music and techno beats come together for catchy tunes. And met with resounding success with his scores for movies like Aap Ki Khatir, Dil Diya Hai, 36 China Town, Partner, Chupke Chupke and Ahista Ahista. He has also, believe it or faint, gone classical for Pankaj Parashar's Banaras A Mystic Love Story.Himesh has set a record of sorts after having 27 hits in six months. And now Bangalore is going have the joy of listening to the man himself and laugh hysterically or maintain a two-minute awe-struck silence as he sweeps on stage in Palace Grounds with his trench coat to unleash some foot-tapping, tub-thumping numbers.Organised by Disha Events, the concert is on October 28. Other singers like Vineet Kumar and Himani Kapoor, mimicry artists, a band and a host of dancers will share the stage with Himesh.Tickets are priced at Rs. 499, Rs. 999 and Rs. 1499. For further details, contact Disha Events and Fairs at 65330257, 25550419, 9886346567 and 9342161071.So are you ready for the magic?
