TV The new faces of Star Plus’ ‘Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera’ in conversation
Time leap marks a new phase in the journey of Star Plus’ daily series Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera . Taking a leap of 15 years, the narrative of a brother and sister relationship will be invested with new adult faces of Ranvijay and Veera to be played by Shivin Narang and Digangana Suryavanshi.
The serial’s mainstay, Veera will be shown as living and studying in a city where she has grown up to be a street-smart and modern girl“Veera is today’s girl. There is no conscious effort to make a heroine out of her,” says Digangana. He adds that Veera is one of the strongest characters on Indian television because she is real, human and does not cater to an idealistic image. The young actor feels that the best thing about the show as a whole is that it highlights a brother-sister relationship, which is a love story of its own.
Ranvijay, Veera’s brother, on the other hand, will also be portrayed as a grown up but in the village of Pritampura. His life, unlike his sister’s is not without any responsibilities, which came upon him quite early on his life. Shy and more of an introvert, the character of Ranvijay appears to have been modelled on an ideal unlike Veera’s.
Shivin Narang believes that the most challenging aspect of his role would be to step into the shoes of characters people already love and accept in a certain way.
