This bowl of pulao is set to be sweet one. The pulao rice is cooked tender with milk and then garnished with a handful of dry fruits and nuts. A perfect main course with accompaniments.

Mumtaz pulao

Ingredients

Basmati rice 1 kg

Dry fruits Quarter kg

Nuts 100 gms

Saffron 5 gms

Milk Half litre

Water Half litre

Sugar One pinch

Salt to taste

Ghee 50 gms

Butter 1 tsp

Method

Boil milk and water together. Once it boils well, wash the rice well and add it to the boiling water. Cook on low heat, till the liquid dries up. Saute nuts and dry fruits in ghee and sprinkle it along with saffron and butter over the rice.
