The much hyped Kananda film “Mathaad Mathaad Mallige”, directed by Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, is all set for release this Friday. It has superstar Vishnuvardhan and Suhasini in the lead with Sudeep playing a pivotal role. Vishnuvardhan plays a farmer who stands up against a multi-national which wants to acquire farm land. Mano Murthy, who is making waves in the Kannada film industry after the mega success of “Mungaru Male”, is the music director of this film. A major portion of the film has been shot in the picturesque Malnad region of Karnataka. Says Chandrasekhar: “‘Mathaad Mathaad Mallige’ aims to highlight the plight of farmers affected by the onslaught of MNCs and corporates that have got into the business of retail and buying agricultural land for industrial purposes. What will happen to our traditional farmer is the question the film asks.”
