New Year resolutions are a must to give up bad habits and acquire good ones. The deadline helps us fulfill our wishes. It also feels nice to recall the date on which we took the decision to bring about the change. I decided to quit smoking on December 31, 1981. I smoked a pack that day. On January 1, 1982, I said `no' to smoking. New Year resolutions do matter. S.Ravichandran
