Silence Of The Lambs

Jonathan Demme

When Hannibal the Cannibal ends the movie with “I do wish we could chat longer, but I am having an old friend for dinner”, you realize that it was not just the end, but the whole movie that was epic. You are literally at the edge of your seat throughout most parts of the movie, as you peer inside the mind of a madman. This psychological thriller, undoubtedly does have a few visually disturbing gruesome images yet is exhilarating, as the plot is not only a brilliant mind game between Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), a young FBI trainee and Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a psychiatrist and a cannibalistic serial killer, but a shrewd analysis of one young woman determined not to be a victim in a world dominated by men.
