Black Cat White Cat

Emir Kusturica

A mad comedy, lyrical and raucous at the same time, about Romani gypsies living near the Danube river at the Serbia-Bulgaria border, Black Cat White Cat is a movie like no other, idiotic and insightful at the same time, with great music making impossible situations plausible. Chaos and clarity, reason and confusion and music and madness take the screenplay on a roller coaster ride, leaving you wanting. The casting is a riot, each actor crazier than the other.
