It might be yet another “the many atrocities of the Nazis”- exposing film, but the award-winning biopic capturing an ace Polish-Jewish pianist’s(Władysław Szpilman) journey through ghettos and extermination camps is unquestionably sophisticated. This dramatically moving masterpiece not only captures this man’s undiminishing spirit even in the most dire circumstances, but is also a powerful statement made on a very raw subject, thereby exposing the harshly inhumane conditions during a war.
