Avarukku Badhil Ivar

(Makkal TV, Saturdays, 19.30)

The programme discusses various political issues with a touch of wit and sarcasm.

It takes a comical dig at politicians suffering from selective amnesia and their hyper-centric activities besides focusing on civic and social issues.

The episode is formatted as a court scene, with a judge and a look alike of the person who is the subject of the day’s mockery.

With awkward questions from the judge and funny replies from the main character, each episode attempts to keep the viewers in splits.

This week’s film will be ‘The Passion,’ a movie with seven different stories with Andrei, the protagonist, appearing in all these.

Each happens in different settings during different periods of time. The film is directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.
