The Namasankirtana Samrakshana Trust will celebrate the 13{+t}{+h}year tirukalyana mahotsavam from July 19 to 28 at Sri Mahalakshmi Marriage Hall, Nirmal Street, (behind Rocky Theatre), Ram Nagar, Ambattur. The utsavam begins with Maha Ganapathy homam at 7.30 a.m. followed by 10,000 avarthi to be performed by Nallur R. Krishnamurthy.

Navagraha homam and special homam for each of the 27 stars will be performed on July 20, 8 a.m.

The evening programme includes Ashatapadi bhajan to be rendered by O.S. Sundar at 4 p.m. and Cuddalore Gopi Bhagavatar’s divyanama bhajan followed by dolotsavam at 9.30 p.m. Sita Kalyana mahotsavam will take place on July 21, 9 a.m. Andal kalyanam will take place at 2 p.m.

An inter-school competition in namasankirtanam will be conducted on July 22 from 8 a.m. followed by Meenakshi Kalyanam at 6 p.m. Maha mrutyunjaya homam, discourse, abhang bhajan and Sri Valli Kalyanam are some of the programmes to be held on July 23, between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m.

The programme on July 24 includes Santhana Gopala Krishnan homam at 8 a.m., upanyasam on ‘Ravana Ramayanathil Sita Kalyanam’ by Mannargudi GG Venkatraman at 2 p.m. and Radha kalyanam by Thanjavur G. Tyagaraja Bhagavatar at 6 p.m.

The day-long event on July 25 will begin with Medha Dakshinamurthy homam at 8 a.m. Nellai Venkatesa Bhagavtar will perform the Siddhi Buddhi Vinayakar Tirukalyana mahotsavam at 9 p.m.
